Hmm, I've been quiet this month. Still recovering from the month long novel writing mania, I suppose.
It's been an insanely busy month (as per the normal) and a busy, busy day (as per the normal.) Little Zorro's birthday was Saturday, and we did a party on Sunday. That went pretty well, he had fun, and my parents took us out for dinner after. (woohoo! free food!)
Hubby's been working long days. Like looooooooong days. He's gone at six in the morning, and I don't see him again until seven in the evening.
While this is quite good for the 'ole checking account, it still sucks quite a lot. Not so good foor that whole 'family togetherness' thing. Not too mention the fact that, love my kids though I may, around about five o'clock, I'm ready for a break.
We (well, when I say 'we' I mean 'the kids') had piano lessons this morning. Of course we were not only late, the kids hadn't really practiced either, because we had not been able to locate the piano books. I feel almost as guilty taking my kids to piano when they haven't practiced as I did going to piano lessons when I hadn't practiced. We're going to need a real piano. Soon. (Right now all we have is an electric keyboard) Yikes!
We visited the library, and replenished the kids' reading supplies. (Have I mentioned that my youngest is reading now? woohoo! It's so awesome! So awesome that I must do that annoying bragging mommy thing on the internet! *shrugs* Sorry, but it is really awesome!) Stopped by our favorite coffee shop for muffins and hot chocolate and COFFEE! Mailed beads at the post office. Poked our head into the craft store. (And now I've been roped into letting the kids do some melt-n-pour candy. I don't think we can screw that up too bad, right? It looks fairly easy. I think. I hope.)
And after a quick trip home for something that resembled dinner, back out into the wild world again for roller hockey!
Hmm...I wonder why I'm exhausted now...
