Month: November 2006

  • Well crap.

I ended the last chapter with a dead body found at the museum, and pulled this from the writing excercise generator this morning:

*The story (chapter in my case) takes place a century in the future*

YIKES! Okay, so we're veering off the murder mystery track my story had been taken and heading into the territory of time travel, apparently...

Okay, off to go figure something out.

Here's where I'm generating my challenges:

    Fun site!

Oh yea - I'm at 11,000 words! (out of 50,000)

EDITED TO ADD: All righty then - two time traveling frogs later, and we are at 13,397 words. I'm thinking I would like to try to get to 15,000 by the end of the day. Go me! Okay, now I really need to get to making beads for my craftshow next week, instead of writing insane amounts of fiction. (And hey, I don't totally hate my novel yet, so YAY!)

  • And we are at 5000! Woo hoo!

For those of you who have no idea what I'm blathering on about. I'm trying to get a bit of a lead in my word count, so that Thanksgiving vacation and the two craft shows I'm doing this month don't totally knock me out.

I like my first chapter (finished yesterday) and am currently bored out of my skull by my second chapter. Ah well, I'm hoping that my boredom will at least inspire me to get the dang thing written and done with, so I don't have to deal with it anymore...
